Sutter Health Design & Innovation (Sacramento, Calif.). Sutter Health Design & Innovation, launched in 2015, focuses on a human-centered and holistic design to deliver “simple, engaging and human” healthcare. Leveraging empathy, analysis and creativity to develop new healthcare delivery solutions, the innovation team encompasses service and user experience designers as well as data scientists and software developers. The Sutter Health Design & Innovation team created the JointCare app, which is designed to assist patients with total knee replacement preparation and recovery by offering tools like exercise regimens and progress tracking. The innovation team also launched an online conversation about how to enhance the end-of-life experience, gathering more than 300 ideas from individuals in 90 countries.
