Ochsner Health System’s innovationOchsner (New Orleans). Ochsner Health System launched innovationOchsner in 2014 and has engaged in a variety of digital health ventures to improve the quality of care across the health system. In February 2014, the innovation accelerator launched the Heart Failure Digital Medicine Program, which allows providers to monitor congestive heart failure patients’ weight remotely via a wireless bathroom scale. That same year, innovationOchsner became the first in the nation to integrate its Epic EHR with Apple HealthKit. Most recently, iO was named one of four finalists in the 2016 Forum of Health Care Innovation’s Health Acceleration Challenge, a collaboration between Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School, both in Boston.
