NorthShore University HealthSystem’s Grainger Center for Simulation and Innovation (Evanston, Ill.). The 13,000-square-foot facility is located within NorthShore Evanston (Ill.) Hospital and hosts two programs dedicated to spurring knowledge and innovation. The medical simulation program aims to help providers improve patient care and outcomes, and reduce costs, while the surgical simulation program serves as a resource for surgeons to share best practices and techniques. The GCSI also provides training opportunities to University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine students through NorthShore HealthSystem’s teaching affiliation with the medical school.
