Jefferson Accelerator Zone (Philadelphia). Opened in 2015, the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Jefferson Accelerator Zone houses the hospital’s innovation activities, including the Innovation Engagement Speaker Series and Health Hackathon events. Created as a connection hub for individuals inside and outside of Jefferson, JAZ provides an incubator space for startup companies and commercializes inventions from Jefferson researchers and clinicians. JAZ is open to members of the National Academy of Inventors’ Jefferson chapter to collaborate on ideas and commercialization.
