Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Jefferson Accelerator Zone (Philadelphia). The Jefferson Accelerator Zone, or JAZ, opened in January 2015 as “command central” for innovation-related activities. It boasts involvement in a variety of events, including the Innovation Engagement Speaker Series, hackathons and the JAZ Tank Challenge, through which participants can win a patent application, business membership and $10,000 in financial support. Individuals can reserve space to collaborate on innovation projects at the two-story JAZ site based on individual zone or floor.
