Hospital for Special Surgery’s HSS Innovation Center (New York City). The HSS Innovation Center is comprised of a technology development office that has been around since 1979 to commercialize viable technologies and an accelerator to develop and pilot ideas. The center focuses on innovations in both life sciences and care delivery. Some examples of commercialization partners HSS Innovation Center has collaborated with include DJO Surgical, Novo Nordisk and Pfizer. Additionally, the center has an Innovation Fund, reserved to support projects led by HSS clinicians, scientists or employees.
