Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ Center for Innovation. Medical technology companies, pharmaceutical companies, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and social impact investors join forces at CHLA’s Center for Innovation to develop, test and commercialize new products and services. Some of the technologies available for licensing or that are seeking investment include software to generate specific dose recommendations for patients called BestDose and a micropacemaker that can be implanted in minimally invasive procedures using a catheter or cannula. The center also oversees a pediatric health accelerator using a $1.5 million grant from the Food and Drug Administration.
