Margaret E. O’Kane. President of the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Ms. O’Kane founded the National Committee for Quality Assurance in 1990 and currently serves as the organization’s president. She sits on the National Governor’s Association’s State Health Policy advisory board and, as a prominent leader in healthcare quality, Ms. O’Kane has testified many times before Congress on matters such as health insurance transparency for consumers. In 2009, Ms. O’Kane received the Picker Award for Excellence in the Advancement of Patient-Centered Care.
