Clifford Y. Ko, MD. Director of American College of Surgeons’ National Surgical Quality Improvement Program. As the director of American College of Surgeons’ National Surgical Quality Improvement Program, Dr. Ko oversees all the organization’s quality improvement programs, including the cancer accreditation program and the trauma verification program. He is a double board-certified surgeon specializing in colon and rectal surgery and is the Robert and Kelly Day Professor of Surgery at UCLA. Dr. Ko has published more than 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts. His work has largely focused on improving surgical care quality through quality measurement and process improvement.
