Brian Kaminski, DO. Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety and Patient Safety Officer at ProMedica (Toledo, Ohio). Dr. Kaminski was appointed to his role at ProMedica in 2013. Since that time, 15,000 ProMedica employees have completed error reduction training and the rate of serious safety events has declined across ProMedica’s hospitals, dropping by approximately 15 percent from 2014 to 2015. Dr. Kaminski also introduced safety coaches to all 12 of ProMedica’s acute care facilities to help improve patient safety and facilitate continuing training and education opportunities for providers.
