Kenneth Sands, MD. Chief Quality Officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston).
Dr. Sands is the chief quality officer and senior vice president of healthcare quality at BIDMC as well as an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. In his role at BIDMC, he oversees hospital functions relating to patient safety, risk management, patient relations and infection control, among many other functions. He was a co-founder of a curriculum on quality improvement that is now a core requirement for residents in the department of medicine at Harvard. In addition to his medical degree, he has a master’s degree in public health from Harvard School of Public Health.
