Calumet Medical Center (Chilton, Wis.). In 1956 Calumet County opened Calumet Memorial Hospital, since renamed Calumet Medical Center. Calumet Medical joined Appleton, Wis.-based Trinity Health System in 1996 to enhance patient access to the system’s extensive medical expertise and resources. That same year, the medical center launched the Calumet Area Community Health Foundation to promote public wellness and health education in the region. Throughout recent years, Calumet has boasted a number of national awards for its accomplishments — for instance, it was named a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital by the National Rural Health Association in 2016.
