Perry County Memorial Hospital (Perryville, Mo.). Perry County Memorial Hospital was founded in 1951 and operates under the motto of “people care more here.” The hospital, located about 80 miles south of St. Louis near the Illinois border, will soon undergo a growth spurt, as it recently received authorization to expand and renovate its medical office and retail pharmacy. In 2015, for the first time, PCMH was named to iVantage Health Analytics’ list of Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals. Also this year, the hospital earned a spot on the National Rural Health Association’s Top 20 Critical Access Hospital listing.
