David E. Phelps. CEO of Fairview Hospital (Great Barrington, Mass.). Mr. Phelps was appointed president of Berkshire Health Systems in 1993. His responsibilities include administration of Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass., and Fairview Hospital. Mr. Phelps has served on the board of the Massachusetts Council of Community Hospitals, Massachusetts Hospital Association and as a member of the American Hospital Association’s regional policy board. He earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.
