Karen Cole. CEO of Shenandoah (Iowa) Medical Center. Ms. Cole, who started her career in healthcare as an intensive care unit nurse in Wisconsin, joined Shenandoah Medical Center in 2012. Prior to that role, she was CEO of Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, Mo., but resigned from that position in June 2011. She has more than 20 years of healthcare experience.
