Ms. Freese-Decker, 36, has been with Spectrum Health since 2002. She was named senior vice president and chief strategy officer in December 2013. Earlier that year, she won the American College of Healthcare Executives’ Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year. Ms. Freese-Decker served in various leadership roles before becoming president of Spectrum Health’s United and Kelsey Hospitals, in Greenville and Lakeview, Mich., in 2011. Under her leadership, United Hospital was named as one of Truven Health Analytics’ 100 Top Hospitals in 2013.
