Philip Guarneschelli. President and CEO of UPMC Pinnacle (Harrisburg, Pa.). Mr. Guarneschelli joined PinnacleHealth System more than 30 years ago. He became senior vice president and COO in 2001 and became acting director in 2010, after the previous president and CEO retired. In March 2017, Mr. Guarneschelli was named president and CEO of PinnacleHealth, which was later acquired by UPMC in August. He now serves as president and CEO of UPMC Pinnacle, a 2,900-physician health system that includes eight acute care hospitals with 1,360 licensed beds. Over the past two decades, Mr. Guarneschelli has implemented and managed more than $500 million in healthcare modernization and consolidation projects.
