Mohan Suntha, MD. President and CEO of University of Maryland Medical Center (Baltimore). Before he was appointed president and CEO of University of Maryland Medical Center in September 2016, Dr. Suntha spent four years as president and CEO of Towson-based University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. He also has experience as vice president for system program development at the University of Maryland Medical System from 2009 to 2012. In his current role, Dr. Suntha is responsible for improving the patient experience, championing population health initiatives, fostering a culture of discovery-based medicine and educating future medical professionals in partnership with the University of Maryland Medical System and UM School of Medicine leadership.
