Michael Ugwueke, President and CEO of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (Memphis, Tenn.). Mr. Ugwueke carries more than 25 years of planning and operational leadership experience in the healthcare setting. Before stepping into the CEO position at Methodist Le Bonheur in January 2017, Mr. Ugwueke served as president and COO of the system for nearly three years. Prior to joining Methodist Le Bonheur, Mr. Ugwueke served as vice president of operations at Joliet, Ill.-based Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, where he co-led an emergency department improvement initiative that contributed to a 50 percent reduction in wait times, which subsequently resulted in significant improvements to patient satisfaction scores.
