Gerald Gallagher. President and CEO of NorthShore University HealthSystem (Evanston, Ill.). Mr. Gallagher became president and CEO of NorthShore University HealthSystem in November 2017 after serving as its COO for the previous five years. As COO, Mr. Gallagher oversaw system operations, clinical quality results and financial performance. The health system recorded strong operating performance and significant quality and patient safety improvement during his tenure. He also has experience as an executive at the system’s Glenbrook Hospital and president of Evanston Hospital, NorthShore’s flagship location. A top 15 teaching hospital in the U.S. according to Truven Health Analytics, the NorthShore system includes four hospitals, 900 physician multispecialty group practices and a medical group with 130 locations in the Chicagoland area. The health system reports annual revenues of $2.1 billion and employs nearly 10,500 people.
