Bernard Tyson. Chairman and CEO of Kaiser Permanente (Oakland, Calif.). Mr. Tyson became CEO of Kaiser Permanente in 2013 and added the role of chairman in 2014. During his 30-plus year tenure at Kaiser Permanente — which has an annual operating revenue of $65 billion — Mr. Tyson has served as hospital administrator, division president, president and COO. His leadership has focused the organization on eliminating healthcare disparities by leveraging aggregated data from EHRs. Mr. Tyson serves on the American Heart Association’s board of directors and is the vice chair of America’s Health Insurance Plans’ board of directors.
