Alan G. Macdonald. President and CEO of Hallmark Health System (Medford, Mass.). Mr. Macdonald became Hallmark’s president and CEO in March 2015, after serving as a founding trustee and a former chairman of the Hallmark Health board. Before his tenure at Hallmark, he served as director of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable. Mr. Macdonald was highly active in EHR implementation, serving as the founding director, past chairman and executive committee member to the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative, a group promoting comprehensive EHR use. After a long career, Mr. Macdonald’s tenure at Hallmark is coming to a close; he announced in September that he would retire from the position and return to the health system’s board after a successor is appointed.
