As CFO, treasurer, and executive vice president of administration and finance at Partners, Mr. Markell oversees $10 billion in operations and approximately $13 billion in assets. He is also in charge of the management of more than 3,000 employees within the areas of corporate finance, research management, research, ventures and licensing, information systems, real estate, treasury and human resources. Before joining Partners, he was a partner at Ernst & Young, where, at the beginning of his career, he was responsible for various activities including mergers and acquisitions, financial strategies, taxes, restructuring account executive
expenditures and Securities and Exchange Commission filings and interactions.
