Beaumont Health (Royal Oak, Mich.). Beaumont is a nonprofit organization formed by Beaumont Health System, Botsford Health Care and Oakwood Healthcare in 2014. The health system includes 5,000 physicians and 35,000 employees. The American Heart Association recognizes Beaumont as a Platinum-level Fit-Friendly Worksite and the National Association for Business Resources named the hospital one of Michigan’s 2016 “Best and Brightest Sustainable Companies.” Communication and feedback are valuable to health system leadership and the system holds monthly CEO luncheons, employee advisory groups and a Speak Up program encouraging employees to report real or potential errors without fear of retribution. The health system is also focused on community service and last year more than 1,000 employees and family members attended the 440 Beaumont-sponsored community events.
