Debra Canales. Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Providence St. Joseph Health (Renton, Wash.). Ms. Canales joined Providence Health & Services as executive vice president and chief people and experience officer in 2014 and became executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Providence St. Joseph Health when Providence merged with St. Joseph Health in 2016. She spent more than a decade with CHE Trinity Health before joining Providence, during which time she guided the organization through significant change and created synergy across locations in 21 states. In 2016, she earned the Employee Assistance Trade Association’s Corporate Award of Excellence for creating a program that provides free or reduced medical insurance to employees most in need.
