Carol Lovin, MSN, RN. Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Carolinas HealthCare System (Charlotte, N.C.). Ms. Lovin joined Carolinas HealthCare System in 2007 and worked her way up from executive vice president of planning and communications to serve as president of the CHS Management Company as well as vice president of strategic planning and market development for Carolinas HealthCare NorthEast before being promoted to executive vice president and chief strategy officer of the system. She is responsible for leading strategy and development for Carolinas HealthCare, including planning and development for performance enhancement and protection of the Carolinas HealthCare System brand. Finally, Ms. Lovin oversees the system’s Innovation Engine, a design and prototyping team for business and clinical innovation.
