Vivian von Gruenigen, MD. CMO of Summa Health System (Akron, Ohio). Dr. von Gruenigen was named CMO of Summa in May after seven years with the system. In her new role, she will focus on the system’s population health management strategy and provide medical oversight and leadership. Dr. von Gruenigen previously served as chair of the obstetrics and gynecology department and was medical director for women’s health. Dr. von Gruenigen is a certified physician executive by the American College of Physician Executives and earned a medical degree with honors from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She is a board member of the Foundation for Women’s Cancer, Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Foundation.
