Ninfa Saunders, DHA, MSN. President and CEO of Navicent Health (Macon, Ga.). Dr. Saunders currently leads a nonprofit healthcare corporation that includes a tertiary teaching hospital, children’s hospital, rural critical access hospital, rehabilitation facility and hospice care. She has more than 40 years of hospital administrative experience, is a fellow of the AmericanCollege of Healthcare Executives and is Black Belt-certified in Six Sigma. Dr. Saunders holds a doctorate in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, an MBA from EmoryUniversity in Atlanta and a master of science in nursing from RutgersUniversity in Newark, N.J. In 2013, she cofounded Stratus Healthcare, a nonprofit alliance of 21 hospitals and about 1,500 physicians working together to share best practices, combine resources and coordinate information systems to achieve value-based care goals.
