Rodney F. Hochman, MD. President and CEO of Providence Health & Services (Renton, Wash.). Dr. Hochman oversees the fourth largest nonprofit health system in the U.S., with 34 hospitals, 475 physician clinics, senior services, supportive housing and many other health and educational services. Providence and its affiliates employ more than 76,000 people across Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Under his leadership, Providence is improving the consumer experience and creating healthier communities. Previously, Dr. Hochman was president and CEO of Swedish Health Services, which he re-invented from a downtown hospital focus to a regional system of care. A physician with a background of rheumatology and internal medicine, Dr. Hochman is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology, and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
