Randy Oostra. President and CEO of ProMedica (Toledo, Ohio). Mr. Oostra joined ProMedica in 1997, serving in several senior-level positions, including president and COO, before being made president and CEO in 2009. During his tenure, Mr. Oostra has been a driving force to improve healthcare in Toledo. He championed the idea of building a population health center in the city’s downtown that would include a full-service grocery market and kitchens to teach people how to cook healthy foods. The resulting ProMedica Ebeid Institute for Population Health is scheduled to be completed in 2016. As if combating hunger and improving population health wasn’t enough, Mr. Oostra was elected to the American Hospital Association board of trustees this August. His three-year term will begin in January 2016.
