Chris Van Gorder. President and CEO of Scripps Health (San Diego). Mr. Van Gorder was named CEO of Scripps Health in 2000, shortly after arriving at the system the year before. In his current role, he oversees all functions of the integrated health system, including its acute care hospital campuses and outpatient centers throughout San Diego County. Mr. Van Gorder is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and served as the association’s chairman in 2010. He is a Reserve Assistant Sheriff for San Diego County and a licensed emergency medical technician.
