Shafiq Rab, MD. CIO of Rush University Medical Center (Chicago). Dr. Rab took on the role of Rush’s CIO on Jan. 9, 2017. He was previously CIO and senior vice president of information technology at Hackensack (N.J.) University Health Network. In addition, he has also been CIO of Middletown, N.Y.-based Greater Hudson Valley Health System, Passaic, N.J.-based St. Mary’s Hospital and Belle Mead, N.J.-based East Mountain Hospital. He is a CHIME certified healthcare CIO and a trained internist.
