Rodney Hochman, MD. President and CEO of Providence St. Joseph Health (Renton, Wash.). Dr. Hochman was president and CEO of Renton-Wash.-based Providence Health & Services before it merged with Irvine, Calif.-based St. Joseph Health to create Providence St. Joseph Health, a nonprofit health and social services system, in July 2016. As president and CEO of Providence St. Joseph Health, Dr. Hochman is responsible for the system’s 50 hospitals, 829 clinics and more than 111,000 caregivers. He oversees the health system’s strategic initiatives to navigate digital innovation, genomics and scientific wellness and population health. Press Ganey honored Dr. Hochman’s achievements with the 2015 Innovator of the Year recognition and 2017 Partners in HCare Foundation Vision and Excellence in Health Care Leadership Award. Dr. Hochman extends his leadership beyond the health system as chair of the Catholic Health Association board and trustee of the American Hospital Association.
