Richard Hart, MD, DrPH. President and CEO of Loma Linda (Calif.) University Health. Dr. Hart joined Loma Linda University Health in 1972 and served as chair of the department of health services, director of the Center for Health Promotion, chair of the school of medicine’s department of preventive medicine and dean of the School of Public Health before his promotion to chancellor and CEO of Loma Linda University in 2001. He was named health system president in 2008. His efforts are now focused on Loma Linda’s Vision 2020 project, a $1.2 billion endeavor that includes a new “wholeness institute” and research center in addition to scholarships and endowments. Dr. Hart also provides leadership as president of Adventist Health International, a nonprofit organization devoted to managing health services in developing countries.
