Mark A. Keroack, MD. President and CEO of Baystate Health (Springfield, Mass.). Dr. Keroack is president and CEO of Baystate Health and the system’s insurance arm, Health New England. He spent a year as Baystate Health’s COO between 2013 and 2014, and two years as chief physician executive and president of Baystate Medical Practices. Dr. Keroack joined Baystate Health from Oak Brook, Ill.-based University HealthSystem Consortium, where he served as senior vice president and CMO, advising the national alliance of 112 academic medical centers. An internal medicine and infectious disease physician by training, Dr. Keroack became the first president of Worcester, Mass.-based UMass Memorial Medical Group, comprising 700 physicians, in 1995.
