Lisa E. Harris, MD. Medical Director and CEO of Eskenazi Health (Indianapolis). Dr. Harris became medical director and CEO of Eskenazi Health in 2004, when it was known as Wishard Health Services. Dr. Harris oversees the health system, which includes 315 inpatient beds and treats more than 948,000 outpatient visits annually. She previously served as Eskenazi Health’s chief of medicine and CMO of the primary care division of Indiana University Medical Group. Dr. Harris is a past chair of America’s Essential Hospitals, a 300-plus member organization. In 2014, Girls Inc. honored her with an “Imagination in Action” Touchstone Award for her advocacy efforts on behalf of underserved populations.
