Eric Bour, MD. CEO of Piedmont Newton Hospital (Covington, Ga.). Piedmont Newton Hospital named Dr. Bour CEO in July. Prior to joining Piedmont Newton, he spent six years as CEO of Simpsonville, S.C.-based Hillcrest Memorial Hospital and Simpsonville Medical Campus. Under his leadership, Hillcrest reported 90 percent reduction in patients leaving the emergency department without being seen and 40 percent improvement in patient satisfaction scores. Dr. Bour spent almost 30 years as a practicing bariatric surgeon in Pennsylvania and South Carolina before embarking on a career in healthcare administration.
