David Feinberg, MD. President and CEO of Geisinger (Danville, Pa.). In 2015, Geisinger recruited Dr. Feinberg from UCLA Hospital System, where he spent eight years as CEO, and named him president and CEO. He oversees Geisinger’s 12 hospital campuses, two research centers and the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. The integrated health system boasts approximately 30,000 employees and 1,600 employed physicians and includes a 551,000-member health plan. Throughout his career, Dr. Feinberg has championed patient experience and was instrumental in launching Geisinger’s ProvenExperience, part of the ProvenCare portfolio, which gives patients for select procedures the option to receive a refund for a poor experience. A psychiatrist by training, Dr. Feinberg is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and received the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Cancro Academic Leadership Award in 2014.
