Michigan Pioneer ACO (Southfield). Michigan Pioneer ACO, affiliated with Detroit Medical Center, was one of the original 32 Pioneer ACOs in 2012 and became a Next Generation ACO in January 2017. The ACO has reduced Medicare spending for healthcare services by $41 million since 2012, resulting in $20 million net savings to Medicare.
