Aledade (Bethesda, Md.). Farzad Mostashari, MD, founded Aledade in 2014. Aledade is a Track 1 Medicare Shared Savings Program participant and contracts with commercial payers including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. The ACO now includes more than 200 participating practices and 240,000 patients across 15 states. In January 2017, Aledade raised $20 million in funding from existing as well as new investors such as GV — formerly Google Ventures — and Maryland Venture Fund.
