Steven Smith. CIO of NorthShore University HealthSystem (Evanston, Ill.). As CIO of NorthShore University HealthSystem, Mr. Smith oversees IT for the system’s four hospitals and 900-physician multispecialty group practice. The health system has around 130 locations in the Chicagoland area and was among the first health systems to successfully implement a systemwide EHR in 2003 and then achieve HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 designation. Mr. Smith previously served as NorthShore’s chief technology officer.
