Joel Vengco. Vice President and CIO of Baystate Health (Springfield, Mass.). Mr. Vengco joined Baystate Health in 2012 as senior vice president of informatics and technology and CIO. He oversees the health system’s technology vision, strategy and operations, bringing a focus on information integration to his work. He has modernized the health system’s data center and infrastructure as well as established new platforms for patient engagement and improved system performance and security. In addition to his current role, Mr. Vengco is the CIO for the Pioneer Valley Accountable Care Organization, the ACO for western Massachusetts.
