Jim Veline. Senior Vice President and CIO of Avera Health (Sioux Falls, S.D.). As the senior vice president and CIO of Avera Health, Mr. Veline is responsible for the health system’s IT services, which reach more than 16,000 employees and 900 employed physicians. He was instrumental in developing the health system’s telemedicine program, and under his leadership the health system has earned Hospitals & Health Networks’ Health Care’s Most Wired recognition 16 times. Prior to joining Avera, he spent nine years at Nebraska Methodist Health System and 13 years at Nebraska Health System, both based in Omaha.
