Ronald Paulus, MD. CEO of Mission Health System (Asheville, N.C.). In September 2010, Dr. Paulus was appointed president and CEO of Mission Health System, becoming the first physician to assume the top executive position at Mission and the first in the state to lead a nonprofit system. Prior to his appointment, he held a number of leadership roles at Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pa., including executive vice president, clinical operations and chief innovation officer. An internist, Dr. Paulus was also president, CEO and co-founder of CareScience, a clinical solution and data analytics provider now owned by Premier.
