Robert C. Robbins, MD. President and CEO of Texas Medical Center (Houston). As president and CEO of Texas Medical Center, Dr. Robbins oversees the largest medical complex in the world. Prior to his appointment at TMC, he was a professor and chairman of the department of cardiothoracic surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine in California, president of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and chair of the American Heart Association Cardiovascular Surgery and Anesthesia Council. An internationally recognized cardiac surgeon, Dr. Robbins has published nearly 300 peer-reviewed articles over the course of his career, is on the board of directors of the Texas Medical Center, the advisory board for the Ronald McDonald House in Houston and the Houston Academy of Medicine.
