Ramanathan Raju, MD. President and CEO of NYC Health and Hospitals Corp. As president and CEO of NYC Health and Hospitals, Dr. Raju oversees the largest municipal healthcare system in the U.S., comprising 37,000 employees, 11 acute care hospitals and more than 70 community-based health centers. Prior to his current role at NYC Health and Hospitals, he was CEO of Cook County Health and Hospitals System in Chicago, COO and medical director of HHC’s Coney Island Hospital and CMO, corporate chief operating officer and executive vice president of HHC. Dr. Raju is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and the American College of Physician Executives.
