Edward J. Benz Jr., MD. President and CEO for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston). Dr. Benz became president and CEO of the institute in 2000. He also serves as CEO of Dana-Farber/Partners CancerCare, director of Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and is a trustee or Dana-Farber/Children’s Hospital Cancer Care. Before being appointed president, Dr. Benz was a professor and chairman of the department of medicine at the Johns Hopkins Univeristy School of Medicine in Baltimore. Under his leadership, the institute has grown to three times its original size has seen the opening of several campus satellite facilities.
