Stanford (Calif.) Hospitals and Clinics 

The Stanford Cardiovascular Institute was formed in 2004 and serves as the focal point for cardiovascular research at Stanford University. There are five attending cardiac surgeons in the institute, in addition to facilities for telemetry for cardiac arrhythmias and a postsurgical rehab and physical therapy program. Stanford Hospitals and Clinics is designated as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is one of U.S. News & World Report‘s 2014-2015 top-ranked hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery.
