Mercy Hospital (Coon Rapids, Minn.)
Mercy Hospital’s Heart & Vascular Center provides comprehensive cardiac care and is highly regarded. In 2014, Truven Health Analytics named the hospital one of the top 50 cardiovascular hospitals in the United States and it has been named a Blue Distinction Center+ for cardiovascular care. The center recently opened a multipurpose operating room, which combines the capabilities of a cardiovascular catheterization laboratory with a traditional surgical suite. The OR will be used for the surgical and minimally invasive repair of mitral and aortic valves, among other procedures. Along with clinical services, the center also offers heart education and heart care-related support groups.
