The Cardiovascular Thoracic Institute at Keck Medical Center of USC is staffed by more than 20 cardiologists and specializes in cardiovascular care, cardiothoracic surgery, electrophysciology and heart failure care, and offers a wide range of heart services. One of two university-based medical centers in Los Angeles, Keck is one of the top three hospitals in the Los Angeles metro area, as ranked by U.S. News & World Report. The academic medical center offers patients access to clinical trials and has received more than $8 million in grants from the National Institutes of Health Heart, Lung and Blood Institute this year.
